Weekly 0086 โ Checklists, Copilot Personas & Empower Vibes
This week was a mix of checklists, presentations, and events. Between polishing migration strategies, delivering talks, and publishing new content, it felt like one of those weeks where things just kept flowing. Oh, and we wrapped it all up with a summer party ๐
Monday
I kicked off the week with a quick call to discuss the Migration Checklist Iโm creating. The idea is to be more prepared before starting customer migrations from GitLab, BitBucket, Perforce, and SVN to GitHub Enterprise. Just a first touchpoint before presenting it properly the next day.

Tuesday
The morning started with a deeper call about the Migration Checklist. Everyone agreed itโs a solid starting point, so weโre moving forward with it. I also had a first exploratory call with Namespace about a potential partnershipโstill early, but promising.
In between, I prepared slides for an update call and hit publish on my latest blog post: ๐ GitHub Copilot: A Persona-Based Approach to Real-World Development. Later, I presented the same topic at our XKE event (Xebia Knowledge Exchange) and got great feedback.
The day didnโt end there: I joined the M365 community call to share our project from a few months back, and after dinner I even pushed out a new open-source template: Chrome/Edge Extension Template with TypeScript + Vite.
Mood of the day: super productive โก๐ป
Wednesday
Most of the day was heads-down prep for my Empower 2025 session. I wrestled with .NET Aspire and Postgres for my demo appโeventually ditched Postgres for SQL Server to keep things moving. On top of that, I debugged some errors in my git-to-Perforce export tool.
Mood of the day: fighting with tech dragons ๐๐ ๏ธ
Thursday
The big day: Empower event in Zurich ๐ค. Fantastic venue, smooth organization, and lots of great conversations. After my session, I had a few side chats about my โmultiple personaโ approach to GitHub Copilot (always fun when an off-topic idea sparks interest).
Mood of the day: energized by the crowd โก๐
Friday
The week closed with a customer meeting in the morning to address migration concernsโalways better to tackle these early. Then it was time to switch gears completely: our company summer party ๐ค๐ป.
A lot of surf in the city! It was a blast!
